Crying of Laughter

A contagious air

Bubbles into your lungs

Entrapping you in a sugary hex

Of sunlight- of novelty

You cackle until your eyes burn beautifully.

In this moment,

You are a personification of… what exactly?

Girlhood? Presence? Sweet, cider-like release?

Whichever- please sit in this feeling.

Release unharboured infectious joy.

Bask, as something wonderful

Finally clicks inside of you

Starting over

Her- in the mirror

What do we have in common?

Who are you to me?

Write a new chapter

Conduct a new symphony

As long as it’s true

The dread- who am I?

Adventures down many roads,

Now joy- who am I?
